My Life As Nepali Wife

I left the house at 4 a.m. in the morning, when the jeep arrived to pick me up. Around 5:30 a.m. it started to become light outside. I remembered my plan to film some of my journey when we arrived in the next district, Jhapa. Sadly, I did not have enough phone memory to film during the last hours of our trip. So the next time when I travel back to Ilam more of the hill areas (Sindhuli and Ilam) with amazing views. (And yes, I am staying in Kathmandu till the baby arrives, but I am definitely not just sitting and waiting as I have quite some work to do here and people to meet. I've been so busy with anything and everything that I didn't have time to write. On the other hand, I was working so tedious that I had no inspiration to write. Sounds double. Thinking back, I don't know why I stopped writing and making videos. And yet I actually know it ... I started very enthusiastic writing on this blog. But when in the third semester I devoted myself to my studies and a few months was much sick, weak, tired and nauseous for a good thing (if you meet me in real life you can now guess that I currently carry a second person with me), the inspiration for writing and making videos disappeared. I have also not shared anything on Facebook for a long time. I still have a lot of material for YouTube videos. I also have topics for blogs. Yet that does not create anything. Just like a guitar needs to be tuned first (David likes to play right away, that sounds pretty ugly haha), that's how I have to be in the right mood to voice things. Anyway, here I am ...

The grand reveal of the overall picture. Who got all the pieces in the right places? David just arrived back in Kathmandu yesterday. Now it is time for us to start raising funds for buying the beautiful house that God has shown us and the school that David has found to start with our projects. Plans for the house: hotel / restaurant / tourist information office / craft shop / bakery Plans for the school: teacher training / new teaching materials / modern education / 21st century learning / parenting workshops / practical education We are very excited to start the work! Later on, we will support our non-profit organizations through our profitable projects. For now, a total of 500,000 euros is needed to buy the house and the school and start up our projects. DAVID IS IN ILAM to inquire about the house and to look for land to build a school, or for a school that we can buy over. (We recently heard that some Christians who have a school in Ilam may want to sell.) Meanwhile, I try to keep up with my study assignments at home and also enjoy my freedom. I have just solved some problems on this blog. Recently I received feedback from a friend about links that did not work and comments that can not be posted. In the villages of Nepal, spouses often do not sleep together in one bed. This is especially true for the older generations. Our parents do not sleep together, but have their own bed in separate rooms. Of course, I knew that since we first visited our family, in September 2017. Yet it only really hit me recently. For David it is obvious that spouses sleep separately, even though he himself belongs to the younger generation who is willing to share the bed with their spouse. For me, however, it is very strange from my culture when spouses sleep separately. That means, in my opinion, that something is wrong in the relationship, right? At least. So when David once fell asleep in the other room and did not want to come when it was bedtime, my emotional system became confused because I felt something was wrong. But it was nothing. Yes I cook two or three times a day and clean my kitchen at least two times a day after eating our meals. See how I do this fast and efficient.

Our family has quite some land we want to use that to employ people and to increase the wealth in this district. Growing coffee and other crops. Any suggestions? At our farm we would love to make bamboo cottages for homestay. Our farm is at a beautiful place in the hills, not far from Ilam town. It is on the side of the hill where we can always enjoy the sun from morning to evening. We have a road that makes our compound accessible for vehicles and a football ground next to our house (where probably even a helicopter can land). We also want to offer our guests tasty treats and provide guided tours. All to provide employment for the local people. Today, while doing my make-up, I got the sponteneous idea to talk to you all a bit about my make-up and why I didn't do make-up before but do it now.

We want a place for living too. And we are full ready to share that with our guests. Pray with us that we will get the house that God showed us. It is at a perfect place for a guesthouse, on top of the teagardens. It would be wonderful to have this place to start our ministry, have fellowship, make an office, a guesthouse, a small cafe and a craftsroom. Today was day 3 of the four exam days. As I wrote earlier, studying 7 to 8 hours for an exam is sufficient if you have attended the classes. I knew that today's exam would be pretty easy. Not much content, low difficulty, all assignments already done. So I lazed in the morning and slowly started the study. After our prayer first tea. While checking messages on my phone. Then starting up the laptop and checking whether I miss anything in the list of Powerpoint presentations from the teacher. Meanwhile, I'm chatting with my classmates in the group chat. Oops, what are they talking about now? Cognitive interest? Do I have any material on that? I ask in the group what it is and if someone has slides of it.
